118 800 can only obtain any FoneRent Customer number would be with the express permission of the user. This could however be via market research or online marketing where a client agrees to their contact details being used for future marketing purposes.  With the intense media profile around this launch, we recognise the concerns relating to potential intrusive calling, privacy of data and even the possibility of incurring unwanted roaming costs. As such, FoneRent wish to provide clarity on its position:

Clients can rest assured that FoneRent has not and will not, under any circumstance disclose our customer contact details to any third party including the 118 services.

Should a member of your  organisation inadvertently release their mobile number, unsubscribing is possible via the 118 800 web site. There is a cost of £1.00 to remove each number from the database and this must be undertaken on a number by number basis. Alternatively you can text FoneRent at +44 (0) 7511 247 247 and we will remove you and simply add the £1.00 / $1.75 charge to your account.
