After finding that the locations for BBC Springwatch 2009 had 'sketchy mobile coverage' on the major UK networks, the BBC Production Team presented FoneRent with a challenge -how to ensure the crew could stay in contact where there was little or no network.

Enter FoneRent's new Gamma Telecom Offer. With optional domestic roaming service onto two of the UK's major networks, Gamma gave the crew additional coverage that would otherwise have been hit and miss. In addition, to ensure absolute coverage in the remote areas, FoneRent has also provided Satellite Phones with Broadband Data Speed capability.
