SFR & FoneRent have set their own records tumbling at Cannes 2009 with a whole host of Film Production Teams, Media and Officials taking phone rental service for the Marche du Film (MIFF) and the Cannes Festival itself.

Speaking from the Festival, David Gill of FoneRent commented, 'This years Cannes has exceeded all expectations as we rented out a record number of SIM Cards, Cell Phones and USB Data Connectors. Our main clients are not surprisingly from Hollywood but we also have users from Australia, Japan and many other countries too. It was our first year working with SFR (part of Vodafone) and there is no doubt their support made a difference. We were able to offer services much cheaper than the official supplier and SFR ensured we had additional service capacity at the event and their 24/7 support was spot-on'. 

FoneRent is now regarded as the leading Film Event Mobile provider by many, a belief backed up by Julia Teal from Rodeo Event Management. Julia, who manages the event for several well-known clients said 'The FoneRent guys on site were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble for them and whatever we needed, whatever time of day was done with a smile. Personal attention, coupled with low rates was a killer combination and I have already reserved my 2010 phones'.
