If you have been watching the BBC series 'The Hottest Place On Earth', you will already be aware of the unforgiving terrain and climatic conditions in the Danakil Desert in Ethipoia, with record tempartures and volcanic activity like no where else on the planet.

And now FoneRent can claim its own records too as the production crew used 4 of our Thuraya Satellite Phones to say in touch during filming in this most inhospitable location.

Commenting on the filming, Production Team Leader Pat Jensen said 'We really were in the middle of nowhere and despite some spectacular scenary, we knew this was a dangerous and unforgiving region.
