Major Success for FoneRent at the Berlin Film Festival

The first major film event of the year for Europe has taken place in Berlin with Berlinale and EFM (the European Film Market) and FoneRent has secured a huge success by doubling the number of rental compared to last year.

Speaking from back at the Companies Manchester HQ, David Gill, Co-CEO said 'we expected to do well at Berlin as we knew our rates were strong compared to other rental providers. We were offering E-Plus and O2 Germany service to give us the best blend of coverage and services, which coupled with our rates at around 30% below the official supplier, meant we were able to really capture clients attention. We could do that as we had no commissions to pay to third parties being an 'unofficial supplier' and because we have such close ties to all the networks in Germany. What is more, we never hit our clients with unforeseen extras like charges for itemized billing and insurance – we always include those options as standard.

Gill added ‘We see this as a platform for the whole 'Film Event Season' and we already have a significant number of advanced orders for Cannes and Venice amongst others. This really does underline our position as the world's leading provider of mobiles at Major Global Events and I am delighted with the results'.
